About Shaw Trust

At Shaw Trust we help give people with a criminal record the opportunity for a second chance providing services to support them in custody and in the community. We provide people with the skills, knowledge, and a sense of purpose, for life after custody, significantly reducing the likelihood of reoffending. We support at each stage of the journey providing people with safe and supportive spaces to engage in positive activities and move toward integrating back into society.

We will be delivering the HMPPS Creating Future Opportunities (CFO) programme in the East of England and Southeast of England.

We are recruiting for people to join our teams in the role of CFO Hub Support Worker. In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants within the community, at pop-up Satellite Hubs, and at our Activity Hub. You will provide high-quality support and guidance, facilitating the engagement of participants in activities that help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement and achieve milestones leading to sustainable employment, education, or training.

You will undergo enhanced vetting checks. In this role you will work at our hub in Southampton and in the community.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of participants within the community, at pop-up Satellite Hubs, and at our Activity Hub. You will provide high-quality support and guidance, facilitating the engagement of participants in activities that help them overcome barriers to successful resettlement and achieve milestones leading to sustainable employment, education, or training.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in motivating and supporting individuals with multiple and complex needs to overcome barriers and progress towards future goals in education, training, and employment.
  • Experience in working with external stakeholders to provide exceptional participant support or progression routes, including employers, local authorities, health services, or voluntary sector organisations.
  • Ability to build, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of support services to ensure comprehensive participant support.
  • Proven experience of successfully working to targets and key performance indicators, with the ability to monitor and report on participant progress effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management, with the ability to manage a caseload independently and provide community-based support.
