A regional healthcare provider is seeking a Junior Sister for Ward 10 at Castle Hill Hospital. This role involves providing leadership and clinical care to patients undergoing colorectal surgery. An exciting opportunity for an aspiring Junior Sister has arisen on Ward 10 at Castle Hill Hospital. Ward 10, is a 21 bed ward which provides care for male patients undergoing colorectal surgery. Within the ward is a 4 bed High Observation bay in which patients undergoing major surgery are cared for in the immediate post-operative period.
This role provides a real opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge, leadership and management skills whilst also being supported by a senior and experienced team. The Trust has close links with the University of Hull and will facilitate your continuing professional development.
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse who is dynamic with strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm in caring for patients undergoing often complex surgery. The senior team are passionate about constantly improving our service and focus on delivering high quality care to patients.
By working clinically as a member of the nursing team you will work in partnership with the Senior Sister to provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership for a ward based team of registered and non-registered staff. The post holder will be required to deputise in the absence of the Senior Sister and ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care.
Leading clinical nursing practice within the clinical area.
Securing and assuring the highest standards of clinical care with the support of the Matron and Deputy Nurse Director.
The effective management of clinical and non-clinical risk reporting to the Senior Sister.
The post holder will be expected to deal with queries and complaints from staff, patients and their family members.
