We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our sales pipeline through targeted prospecting, list building, and outbound outreach. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to grow in sales. You will not be responsible for closing deals, instead, your focus will be on identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and creating qualified opportunities for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Research
  • Proactively identify and source new sales leads aligned to target customer segments in life sciences, biotech, pharma, and supporting industries.
  • Conduct competitive research, including scraping and collecting publicly available information to identify companies advertising with or engaging competitors.
  • Build and maintain lead lists through multiple channels (web research, industry databases, trade press, social media, etc.).
  • Prospect exhibitor lists from relevant trade shows and conference publications.
Outbound Prospecting
  • Execute targeted email outreach campaigns by email, LinkedIn and Apollo to introduce the Science Technology Group's set of publications. Personalize outreach messages based on industry, role, and prospect needs.
  • Qualify early-stage leads and route high-potential opportunities to Account Executives.
  • Track outreach activity and lead progression in the CRM, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Make use of sales tools such as Sales Navigator and Apollo.
Collaboration & Pipeline Support
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to understand priority verticals, key accounts, and evolving prospecting strategies.
  • Provide timely intelligence on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging customer segments.
  • Support broader sales initiatives where required, including following up on special campaigns & prospect list building for new product launches.
Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a similar role (entry-level welcome).
  • Strong research and online prospecting abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written communication skills, especially in cold outreach. With Experience is using Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative sales team.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with CRM systems and lead management tools.
  • Experience in B2B media, life science markets, or digital advertising. Including internships & work experience schemes.
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to web-scraping tools or data-gathering scripts.
