Job description

NSD (Neptune Store Developments) Ltd is our in‑house property and construction company. Although it is a separate company, it is integrally part of Neptune. It takes often unusual, sometimes even derelict properties and turns them into the architecturally beautiful Neptune stores across the UK. It has also built luxury private apartments and homes, all in line with the exacting standards and high‑quality materials our customers have come to expect.

At Neptune we believe the spaces we create should feel like home. Thoughtful, timeless and made with care. Behind every beautiful store and apartment is a team of people who value craft and collaboration.

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to work closely with our design and build team. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing finishing, fit‑out and build projects across our stores, guiding our tradespeople and construction team from site set‑up through to final snagging. You will work closely with the Head of Build & Maintenance and liaise with trusted contractors and internal teams to ensure every project is delivered safely, on time and to Neptune’s exacting standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Planning and overseeing finishing, fit‑out and build projects from site set‑up through to handover, ensuring each space is delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
  • Coordinating contractors and working closely with the Head of Build & Maintenance to manage health & safety, documentation, materials and on‑site problem solving.
  • Managing the final stages of store and apartment builds, including kitchens, cabinetry, wall and floor finishes, snagging and post‑handover works.
  • Collaborating with teams across Neptune to support store maintenance, refurbishments, seasonal changeovers and the delivery of fitted and free‑standing furniture.
  • Creating and managing the on‑site project documentation (RAMS, Site box, H&S files, Puwer log).
  • Being responsible for planning and overseeing a wide variety of finishing, fit‑out and build projects on a day‑to‑day basis – planning of the project, site set‑up, H&S, material calculations and supply, product sourcing and problem solving.
  • Liaising with the Head of Build & Maintenance regarding 3rd‑party contractors (electricians, plumbers, fire, CCTV, intruder, building control, CDM).

You will be someone with a warm, friendly and engaging personality who can communicate confidently with colleagues at all levels. Ideally you will have SMSTS and First Aid qualifications, or a willingness to work towards them, and a strong understanding of what it means to represent a premium brand with care and attention.

You will be adaptable in a fast‑moving environment, embracing new challenges and responsibilities with a positive mindset, while always seeking ways to improve both yourself and the spaces you work in. Supporting your colleagues and sharing best practice comes naturally to you, helping ensure every project reflects Neptune’s values and commitment to homes with heart.

What Benefits We Can Offer You
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Option to purchase additional annual leave
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Cycle‑to‑work scheme
  • Generous new item and factory outlet discounts
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Perkbox: Wellbeing hub and retail discounts portal
  • Your birthday day off
  • Day off if you become a grandparent
  • A week off if you get married
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • Long service holiday allowance increase
  • Training workshops

We are a growing business that encourages our people to grow with us. Neptune’s goal is to ensure we have a diverse and inclusive work environment, where all of our employees have equal access to opportunities and everyone’s voices are heard.
