About the role:

This is an exciting role in which, as Junior FP&A Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the FP&A team in preparing data for budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting. Producing and maintaining the monthly Management Information pack, you will be conveying key business detail in various forms to internal and external stakeholders, you will support the explanation of complex financial drivers to senior leaders throughout the business, with varying levels of financial understanding.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of models in support of routine reporting and forecasting, complex supporting analyses and will assist in the Q&A process as part of building and maintaining strong investor relations.

With a strong numerical background, you will have the ability to demonstrate your excellent communication and presentation skills, and work diligently towards tight deadlines both independently and as part of a team.

This unique role combines close cross-functional collaboration, collecting information and assumptions, and crafting comprehensive models to best support wider functions of the business, particularly through supporting the business partnership requirement of the team.

This role sits within Finance and reports directly into the Manager, FP&A.

  • Assist with budgeting/forecast processes, including managing workflows, communications and data gathering/ consolidation
  • Preparation of monthly Management Information pack for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure timely updates of routine forecast information and supporting key stakeholders in their inputs
  • Assistance with maintaining strong investor relations, by preparing ad-hoc data analysis for external stakeholders
  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc reporting to Executive Team from both a budgeting and forecasting perspective and a monthly reporting perspective
  • Supporting business partnership activities, guiding Market Owners and Department Heads to ensure accuracy of information between Budget & Actuals
  • Assist wider business functions as required on an ad-hoc basis, such as assistance in financial modelling for potential M&A and licencing opportunities
About you:

Looking to grow your finance career? If you have 1 to 2 years of experience in financial planning and reporting - ideally in pharma, retail, manufacturing, or a similar commercial setting - you could be a great fit for this role. We are also looking for:

  • 1-2 years' experience in understanding of practices, processes and exposure to financial systems
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1) in finance or a quantitative discipline
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal communication in business English; able to relate to stakeholders at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint, with an understanding of other relevant forecasting/reporting tools desirable
  • Ability to maintain resilience, learn quickly and navigate ambiguity
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial and technical data
