We are looking for a Junior Developer to join our SITS:Vision development team. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking for your first commercial role or have some experience in software development, this role will give you the chance to grow your skills within a leading, globally deployed product.

Join our vibrant team in Hessle! You'll enjoy a balanced work week with 3 days in our friendly and welcoming office, and 2 days working from the comfort of your home. It's the perfect blend of productivity and fun, in a location that offers both convenience and beauty.

The Role

You’ll be part of a smaller, agile team within the larger SITS development group, allowing you to make a significant contribution to the product. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting software development efforts.
  • Working on small features, fixing bugs, and contributing to larger projects.
  • Finding and resolving issues in the software to ensure it runs smoothly.
  • Translating user requirements into Agile user stories, design, and technical outputs.
  • Working with designers, product managers, and other developers to bring ideas to life.
  • Reviewing test plans.
  • Analysing the impact of new features.
  • Engaging in code quality activities and identifying root causes of defects.
The Skills you’ll need
  • The desire to learn new coding languages.
  • Aptitude for problem solving in a creative way.
  • A passion for technology.
  • Familiarity with recognised database design concepts.
It would be great if you had
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Uniface, HTML, .NET, SQL, Oracle, or MS Reporting Services would be beneficial
