Junior Cosmetic Chemist

Our client is an independent company that develops and manufactures a range of organic cosmetics, toiletries and personal care products using a range of locally sourced organic oils and other ingredients. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Junior Chemist to join their busy team.

The role will involve mixing batches of a variety of formulations using in-house organic ingredients, carrying out testing and other pre-formulation studies and selection of ingredients and raw materials. After receiving training, you may also be involved with the laboratory scale-up and process development of new products.

Duties:

Develop and test cosmetic formulations.

Conduct ingredient research and produce technical documentation.

Manage quality control and perform stability tests.

Collaborate with suppliers and work within a dynamic team.

Ensure a clean and safe lab environment.

Candidate:

Background in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or other relevant science subject.
