Overview

We are seeking two Junior Content Designers to join our client in the development, maintenance, and delivery of engineering standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful digital transformation in government, helping ensure engineering standards are clear, consistent, and accessible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Editing Standards Content
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce clear, concise, and user-focused standards
    • Ensure content is accessible and tailored to different audiences
  • Applying Consistent Style and Structure
    • Align content with (url removed) standards, and technical engineering requirements
    • Develop templates and patterns to support consistency
  • Maintaining and Updating Published Standards
    • Review and iterate existing content based on feedback
    • Ensure technical information is accurate, current, and relevant
  • Supporting Wider Delivery
    • Contribute to content audits, publishing workflows, and knowledge management
    • Provide insights into user interaction with standards content
    • Support the development of "standards as code" initiatives
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity and accessibility
  • Understanding of content design principles and user-centred design
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with (url removed) style guide and digital content standards

Desirable:

  • Experience working in agile teams or government digital services
  • Exposure to technical content or engineering documentation
  • Interest in developing skills in strategic content design and governance
