An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clinical Fellow post (FY3 Doctor equivalent) as a Locally Employed Doctor to join our friendly, enthusiastic team at Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent, University Hospitals Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) in Haematology. The UHDB Haematology service currently provides care up to Level 2b (BCSH 2010) and plans for a shared care arrangement to repatriate autologous stem cell transplant patients at day +1 in the near future.

This is a 6‑month fixed‑term post for a JCF/FY3 doctor based at Queens Hospital, with a requirement to work across other UHDB sites should the need arise. Extension may be available depending on service needs.

We are seeking a full‑time JCF/FY3 in Haematology – no experience required as full on‑the‑job training will be provided. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will work in collaboration with the consultant body, specialist registrars, training posts and nurse specialists to provide a comprehensive range of clinical and laboratory services for patients.

Haematology is an essential area of medicine, and experience gained in this role will be invaluable for a career in medicine, general surgery and paediatrics.

Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice at the time of application.
  • At least 12 months of working within a UK setting (clinical attachments/shadowing not included).
