Role: Junior A naly st / Analyst
Location: London UK
Reports to: Manager
Contract: Full time, 18 months - Fixed Term Contract
Updated: November 2025
Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) works to improve the most important energy and land use policies around the world, with a particular focus on finance. CPI supports decision makers through in‑depth analysis on what works and what does not. CPI works in places that provide the most potential for policy impact, including Brazil , Europe, India, Indonesia, Kenya and the United States. Our work helps nations grow while addressing increasingly scarce resources and climate risk. This is a complex challenge in which policy plays a crucial role. CPI is a small but dynamic organization, with a global reach and an entrepreneurial culture. We work hard to maintain an idea‑driven, collaborative environment across all our teams.
The successful candidate will work across the organisation, with a focus on CPI’s Tracking financial sector transition workstream. The candidate will primarily support method development and analysis for CPI’s Net Zero Finance Tracker (NZFT). The tool provides the most robust and transparent data on the global financial sector’s transition to net zero, informing policy direction, investment strategy, and advocacy decisions. Additionally, the candidate will support the Global Landscape of Climate Finance, the most comprehensive dataset and analysis of global climate financing available, used extensively in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Assessment Reports.
In conducting analysis, the Junior Analyst will work in close cooperation with a range of international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with CPI teams throughout the world. Previous work experience with financial institutions/co‑alitions, transition plans and net zero frameworks, climate policy, or regulation are valuable assets.
CPI has adopted a flexible working policy whereby staff are able to mix working remotely with regular days in the London office (particularly helpful for interacting with the wider CPI team, specific team meetings and collaboration). CPI offers an excellent and competitive compensation and benefits package. Compensation will be based on experience.
Application deadline: Applications will close at 10:00 a.m. on 8th December 2025.
This role requires the right to work in the UK.
