A leading provider of business intelligence in the agrochemical sector seeks ambitious candidates for an analyst role in Edinburgh. The role involves data preparation, statistical analysis, and preparation of reports and deliverables. Ideal candidates should possess strong analytical skills, be proficient in Excel, and have knowledge of programming languages like Python or R. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a small team are essential. A strong benefits package and opportunities for career development are offered.
AgbioInvestor is the leading provider of research, data and strategic advice to the global agrochemical and plant biotechnology sector. Our client base covers multi-national agrochemical manufacturers, leading consulting firms, investment banking and a diverse range of smaller clients, spanning primarily Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. The company provides subscription reports and services for these industries for which it is a thought leader, being engaged in a growing program of key client visits and industry events each year.
We are looking for ambitious, confident self-starters with an interest in applying and developing their skills in the provision of business intelligence to our global client base. Ideally, candidates will have a background in agriculture, biotechnology or organic chemistry, although this is not essential and the recruitment focus will be on the candidate’s skillset and mindset rather than existing knowledge of the agrochemical and biotechnology industries. AgbioInvestor has a need for new analysts in different areas of the business, and there is the potential for the candidate to focus on different areas of their interest. In particular, the company has a need for support of its pharmaceutical and chemical intermediate customs tracking tools, which would benefit from knowledge in these sectors; as well as its market research division, which would benefit from experience and knowledge of survey methodologies and associated data management.
AgbioInvestor is a great place to build a career if you enjoy working with smart, down-to-earth people in an exciting and evolving sector. We offer a strong benefits package, including life insurance, critical illness and income protection, a health cashback plan, generous annual leave, and regular company days and nights out, all within a genuinely friendly team environment. Annual salary reviews and participation in the company bonus scheme reflect our commitment to long-term development and shared success. There is potential for the successful candidate to work from either the company’s Dean Village or Pathhead offices. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred if working from the Pathhead office, owing to its rural location.
