Overview

Junior Activities Assistant
Devonshire FWC | Childcare | Permanent | Part Time

£12.33 per hour

8 hours per week

We are looking for a Junior activities assistant at our gym, who will create a safe, secure and stimulating environment - one where children can explore their potential. You’ll consider their physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development. Engaging with them through play and education and always keeping up with the latest changes in childcare legislation. We’ll give you opportunities to train in new techniques and approaches.

You’ll need proven experience in a childcare environment, and be qualified to NNEB, NVQ Level 3, BTEC. Ideally, you’ll also have EYPS, Paediatric First Aid. You will need to be available to work shifts between the hours of 09:00-12:00 and 16:00-19:00 weekdays and weekends 09:00-12:00 plus assist with Nstars birthday parties on a weekend afternoon. Most importantly, you need to be passionate about creating great experiences for children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Take reasonable care of yourself and others while complying with Health and Safety policy at all times.
  • Create a safe, clean, tidy, secure and stimulating environment – one where children can fully explore their potential.
  • Consider children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development through play and education.
  • Provide equipment for play and education.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy environment at all times.
  • Liaise with parents and carers regularly in an informative and appropriate manner.
  • To be able to assist/take a lead role with N star and Birthday parties.
