Our client, a reputable and growing organisation, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong numerical and analytical skills who are looking to start or advance their career in accounting.

As a Junior Accountant, you will gain valuable hands‑on experience across a range of accounting functions, supporting daily financial operations, assisting with management reports, and contributing to the smooth running of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with bookkeeping and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Help prepare financial reports for management and external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
Requirements
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Well‑organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Studying toward (or planning to study) AAT, ACCA, or a similar accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Up to 1–2 years’ experience in finance or administration is beneficial, but graduates and school leavers with the right aptitude are welcome to apply.
