Job summary

A prominent broadcasting organization in the UK is seeking a Journalism Coordinator to support their weekday breakfast show. Job description

As a Journalism co-ordinator you'll play a key role in out-putting our weekday breakfast show. Working alongside the presenter and Senior Content Producer you'll provide technical support, co-ordinate guests and helping deliver creative excellence that connects with island audiences. You will work 0500-1300 Monday-Friday,

  • Provide technical support to output the programme
  • Assist with the booking of guests and contributors
  • Provide editorial help and record interviews and features
  • Develop programme strands and ideas
  • Play an active role in the wider audio team
    This is not a role for a beginner - you should have a working knowledge of BBC Radio Jersey and how we serve the island.
  • An understanding of the audience we serve is desired and an ability to quickly develop a range of technical skills.
  • You'll be comfortable with an early start, with the shift running Monday-Friday from 5am.
  • Good local knowledge of Jersey, an appreciation of the programmes we produce and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
    PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,800 - £27,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. You will also receive an annual Channel Island allowance of £5,319.
