Overview

MBDA Missile Architecture and the Missile Architecture Function are deployed across company project teams. They draw upon inputs from around the company to drive a coherent top-level design for missiles. The Missile Architecture Function within MBDA consists of:

  • Electrical Architecture
  • Test and Testability Architecture
  • Safety and Reliability
  • Mechanical Architecture

Responsibilities
  • During the programme, you will be working on allocated projects or improvement initiatives, which could be at any stage of their lifecycle. You may focus on one of the engineering disciplines listed, but you will gain awareness and knowledge across all four areas of Missile Architecture to provide breadth in a short period.
  • Gain a breadth of awareness and knowledge across the four domains within Missile Architecture.
  • Be given tasks that, while focused on one domain, will directly affect delivery or an improvement activity.
  • Have the opportunity to spend time with experienced engineers to support development.
  • Choose between online learning platforms such as Percipio, YouLearn, Career Builder and Video Gateway, each tailored to a specific type of learning. Speak to your line manager to find out more.
  • Lead a team (potentially) and participate in management training designed for people of all experience levels.

  • Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Working towards a degree in Engineering (including Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic, Systems and Safety) or Physics.
  • Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. After offer, candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by MBDA.

Salary: £23,495 pro-rated. Dynamic (Hybrid) Working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
