Salary: £6,760 actual per annum

Hours: 2 hours per day, 10 hours per week

Probationary Period: 6 months.

Reports To: Finance and Compliance Managers.

We are looking for a motivated and keen IT Technician to join our Prep School team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem‑solving and wants to build their career in IT, while working in a supportive and friendly school environment.

You’ll be encouraged to be on the front foot, helping us shape the future of technology in education.

Key Responsibilities
  • provide daily technical support for staff and pupils
  • manage and maintain the school’s Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams and Azure
  • support and administer Jamf School MDM for both one‑to‑one and shared iPads
  • troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly
  • ensure devices are secure, updated, and ready for classroom use
  • assist with onboarding new staff and students to school systems
  • liaise with external IT providers when required.
Skills and Experience
  • strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, and Azure
  • experience with Jamf School MDM and iPad management, or a willingness to become familiar with this
  • excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • clear communication skills, with the ability to support non‑technical users
  • appreciation of the demands of working in a busy school setting
  • organised, reliable, and able to work independently
  • previous school experience is not essential – this role may suit someone at the start of their IT career or someone seeking a change of environment.

Terms of Employment
  • a part time, role: 10 hour working week
  • 6 weeks holiday pro rata (must be taken in school holidays)
