IT Support Engineer – Milton Keynes, Head Office

This is an IT support position, where you will be responsible for providing IT technical support to the Group1 Automotive business. In addition to an excellent broad IT knowledge, you will also have advanced levels of skill and experience with Microsoft 365 products. In addition to having excellent support skills, you will have experience helping guide an IT Support team with providing a ‘Best in Class’ service to the Group 1 Automotive business.

What you’ll do day to day
  • Provide remote and in-person IT Operationssupport for users across Group 1 sites.
  • Manage and resolve IT service tickets promptly, keeping detailed updates.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot PCs, mobile devices, printers, and office equipment.
  • Support hardware rollouts, onboarding/offboarding, and user access requests.
    • Work with and guide the wider IT Support team to help with priorities, escalations, reporting, business communication

  • Experience in first- or second-line IT support within an office or multi-site environment.
  • Confident troubleshooting Windows systems, hardware, and network issues.
  • Strong M365 skills

  • Awareness of data protection, cybersecurity, and good IT practices.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • The ability and experience to motivate and guide other members of the IT Support Team with providing the best possible user experience.
