My client is a well known and growing business in Gloucester with a strong tech backbone, looking for an IT Support Engineer to maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure across head office, warehouse, and office locations nationwide.

This is an onsite role, requiring hands-on support and nationwide travel to assist new and existing store locations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Providing technical support across various business areas, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
  2. Diagnosing and maintaining IT systems to ensure smooth business operations.
  3. Working with bespoke platforms and software, requiring adaptability and quick learning.
  4. Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT and telephony systems.
  5. Keeping thorough documentation – inventory, audits, and knowledge sharing.
  6. Supporting IT projects to ensure systems evolve with business needs.
  7. Occasionally working early, late, or weekends for essential maintenance.
  8. Traveling nationwide (including Northern Ireland) to support store networks.
What You’ll Need
  1. 2+ years’ experience in IT support (1st and 2nd line).
  2. Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  3. Excellent communication skills – supporting colleagues at all levels.
  4. Hands-on experience with Windows 10+, Windows Server, macOS, Office 365, Active Directory, and MDM solutions.
  5. A solid understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and system security.
  6. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  7. Experience with VLANs, Fortinet, PCI DSS compliance, and PDQ deployment.
  8. Knowledge of MPLS networks and VPN management.
