WRK digital is delighted to shortlisting for an IT Solutions Specialist at Bettys and Taylors Group - A family business is home to three iconic Yorkshire brands - Yorkshire Tea, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate
This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a transformative project, working with a passionate and collaborative team of over 40 people in group IT.
As IT Solutions Specialist, you will work alongside colleagues throughout the Bettys and Taylors Group to ensure that the IT solutions delivered continue to meet business needs. This role will manage the lifecycle of IT solution components and ensure that technology is leveraged to greatest effect.
This position is hybrid and based from Harrogate (HG2 7DL). Please note that this role is not suitable for fully remote applicants, as regular on-site collaboration in Harrogate is essential.
Responsibilities
- Working in partnership with business SMEs to develop a culture of ownership, engagement and openness whilst building a thorough understanding of business requirements and processes as well as the technologies used to deliver them.
- Promoting the effective use of IT solutions, explore untapped potential and leverage technologies to greatest effect to maximise the return on investment.
- Working alongside business SMEs to understand and document technical requirements to enable the delivery of IT solutions by internal teams or 3rd parties.
- Acting as a technical lead for multiple applications.
- Actively seeking out opportunities to solve long-term problems and inefficiencies through improved processes, use of IT solutions and/or system development.
- Managing supplier relationships, monitoring service levels and act as a point of escalation where required whilst developing long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers.
- Supporting the development and testing of solutions and integrations before aiding their transition into BAU support.
- Providing efficient and effective 3rd line application support to agreed Service Levels: managing incidents, service requests, problems, and changes whilst adhering to agreed processes and procedures.
- Supporting the effective identification, evaluation and management of IT risks, including security vulnerabilities and improvements.
- Participating in the IT Solutions Team out of hours support rota.
Requirements
- A strong background of implementing, supporting and developing large scale IT solutions.
- Experience of working in an IT support role at 3rd line: managing IT incidents, requests, problems in line with industry best practice (ITIL).
- The ability to work in a collaborative environment and establish relationships with key stakeholders.
- The confidence to listen, understand, interpret and communicate technical and non-technical information to a wide range of audiences.
- An understanding of IT solutions consisting of multiple applications and integrations.
- Knowledge of IT security and data protection practices.
- Experience of managing and working effectively with suppliers
