IT Manager / Head of IT (Depending on experience working with Senior Leadership)

Castle Donington (5 days per week in the office)

55-60k - plus bonus

About the Role :

Xpertise are looking for someone to develop the existing IT systems as well as lead and develop the existing IT team.

The individual should have a passion for ensuring that there are robust IT systems, for supporting desired change as well as identifying opportunities for improvement (then delivering them). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on working with others to drive improvement in a fast-paced and growing business.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Leading and managing the IT team (two).
  • Managing our key business systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, with relevant controls and governance in place.
  • Review current operational needs to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, then create and deliver improvements, as well as ensuring we are utilizing all system functionality. This includes exploring opportunities for automation, process streamlining, enhanced reporting, improved accuracy, and reduced task completion times (including through use of AI).
  • Support Head of Finance in managing the key systems and project managing all system changes, enhancements and upgrades, including testing, data validation and user communication regarding downtime.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across business (including Operations, Sales, Supply Chain and Transport teams).
  • Manage and collaborate with Support Partners for system issues and development work, ensuring they meet contractual requirements. Including ensuring high quality service from Support Partners.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop user guides and training tailored to departmental roles and responsibilities. This should support standardisation and streamlining of processes.
  • Keeping up with the latest ERP / CRM / WMS and other business systems trends and technologies including staying informed of new features and functionality.
Who You Are :
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience of IT management; both in terms of managing systems and managing people.
  • Experienced in managing and executing business system / ERP related projects, enhancements and updates. Including working with and challenging external partners to deliver business improvement.
  • Experience of distribution and warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of coding and creating bespoke software solutions.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communicator : Whether you are reporting findings or collaborating across departments, you have the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centres.
  • Experience with IT security and compliance, including familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central desirable.
