Qualifications

IT Infrastructure Engineer

IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join a growing Group IT team. This is a senior, hands-on role covering infrastructure, security, and third-line support, with opportunities to lead improvements and deliver key projects.

You'll be responsible for keeping systems secure, stable, and efficient across multiple sites, with a mix of project work and day-to-day operations. The role offers plenty of variety-covering infrastructure, cloud, security, networking, and virtualisation-plus occasional first/second-line support when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage infrastructure and security (Firewalls, VPNs, Microsoft AD/365, compliance frameworks such as GDPR & PCI)
• Administer Servers and cloud (Windows Server, VMware, Azure AD, Intune, hybrid Microsoft 365)
• Support networking (VPNs, VLANs, routing, wireless, Firewall configuration)
• Oversee backup and recovery (Veeam preferred)
• Deliver infrastructure and security projects
• Use PowerShell for automation and efficiency
• Provide third-line support and knowledge sharing

What We're Looking For:

• Strong background in Firewalls, endpoint protection, and infrastructure security
• Solid networking knowledge (VPNs, VLANs, routing, Firewall rules - SonicWall desirable)
• Skilled with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365
• Experience with VMware and SAN (essential)
• Knowledge of Intune, device compliance, and patch management
• Some PowerShell/Scripting experience
• Awareness of GDPR, PCI, and best-practice security standards
