The Specialist has a strong technical understanding of products, services, regulations, and IT systems in the financial services industry. In addition, the Specialist will participate in audit engagements, which includes planning, reviewing, and challenging a project scope to provide guidance to audits teams on IT related testing. The Specialist will draft and review audit reports to ensure actionable information is provided to senior management and ensure reports meet audit requirements and departmental standards, highlighting risks in areas of IT and Cybersecurity.
The role reports directly to the Audit Director and assists in recruiting, retention, and development of the audit team, with a key focus on building IT audit capability. The Specialist provides input to improve operational efficiency of Audit Services, while identifying opportunities to enhance the design and operating effectiveness of Northern Trust's internal control environment, particularly in technology and information security.
