Bluespires is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Apprentice who is passionate about technology and eager to learn. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their IT career who enjoys problem‑solving, has a genuine interest in how technology works, and is keen to develop both technical and professional skills in a real‑world environment.

The successful apprentice will join a supportive and collaborative team of experienced IT professionals who are committed to mentoring and development. They will gain hands‑on experience while working closely with colleagues who encourage learning, ask questions, and personal growth. Alongside on‑the‑job training, the apprentice will complete a structured apprenticeship programme with Baltic Apprenticeships, including two‑day training blocks every 4–6 weeks, providing the knowledge, support and qualifications needed to build a successful career in IT.

In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:
  • Support clients with a wide range of hardware, software, and network‑related issues.
  • Providing clear, friendly, and effective assistance to clients with IT queries.
  • Creating, setting up, and managing user accounts, including password resets and resolving account access issues.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues efficiently, aiming for first‑contact resolution.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of tickets through a mixture of communication channels including MS Teams, email and phone.
  • Providing day‑to‑day support and administration in the Microsoft Modern Workplace environment.
  • Supporting Microsoft technologies including OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune and Autopilot.
  • Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
  • Previous experience in a busy IT support / helpdesk environment.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Modern Workplace environments and Technologies.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, you're someone who can explain technical things clearly and helpfully.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Accuracy in following instructions, configuring systems and documenting work.
  • Ability to work well with others, take responsibility and maintain a positive, professional approach.
  • Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
  • £16,500‑£26,000 per annum.
  • 9am‑5pm Monday to Friday.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships:

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.

You'll get hands‑on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one‑to‑one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real‑time classes with our expert trainers and self‑paced courses created by industry specialists.

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
