IPS Team Leader

Salary: £39,222 (inclusive of London weighting)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Covering: Ealing, Barnet, Brent, Hounslow and Harrow

Hybrid working: approx. 3 days on-site, 2 days from home (flexibility to adapt as required with the needs of the service)

About the role

Trigon Recruitment are seeking an experienced and motivated IPS Team Leader to lead and develop a high-performing Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service across West London. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, fidelity-driven IPS service that supports individuals into meaningful, sustainable paid employment.

You will provide day-to-day leadership to a team of Employment Specialists, embedding the IPS model and organisational values while maintaining strong relationships with employers, commissioners, and partner agencies. The role covers multiple boroughs and requires flexibility, strong organisational skills, and a data-driven approach to performance management.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and motivate an IPS team to achieve strong employment outcomes for service users
  • Embed the IPS model and ensure high-fidelity delivery across all areas of the service
  • Provide line management support, including regular supervision, 1:1s, field mentoring, and performance reviews
  • Coach and develop staff through training, in-field support, and mentoring of employer engagement activity
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, commissioners, health services, and local partner organisations
  • Monitor performance, outcomes, and KPIs across multiple boroughs, ensuring contractual targets are met
  • Analyse and manage large and complex data sets to inform service delivery and continuous improvement
  • Produce high-quality written reports and professional presentations (including PowerPoint) for internal and external stakeholders
  • Promote continuous improvement, co-production, and service user involvement
  • Carry a small caseload when required to cover gaps and provide in-work support to sustain employment outcomes
  • Contribute to a flexible hybrid working model, adapting to the operational needs of the service
About you

You will be an experienced leader with a strong background in employment support, health, or related services, and a passion for supporting people facing barriers to work.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience leading or supervising staff within employment, health, or support services
  • A strong understanding of the IPS model or experience working with vulnerable or socially excluded groups
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A performance-driven mindset with a track record of meeting targets and delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Strong IT and data skills, with experience using performance management and reporting systems
  • Confidence in analysing complex data across multiple geographical areas
  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and presentations
  • The ability to build strong, professional relationships with employers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Flexibility to carry a small caseload and provide hands‑on support where needed
