Job description
Overview

Investment Partner - Bristol
New Office Leadership Growth Capital & Buyout Investment

A leading UK private equity firm is establishing a presence in Bristol and is seeking an experienced Investment Partner to lead activity in the region. This is a rare opportunity to play a foundational role in building a new office for an investor with a strong national track record in backing ambitious, fast-growing businesses.

About the Firm

With offices across the UK and a strong track record in both growth capital and management buyout investments, the firm typically invests between £3m-£10m into scaling SMEs. Its hands-on approach and long-standing presence in regional markets has seen it become a trusted partner for founders, management teams, and intermediaries alike.

The Opportunity

As Investment Partner, you'll:

  • Lead the origination, execution and portfolio management of new investments across the South West.
  • Play a critical role in setting up and growing the Bristol office, with support from the national team.
  • Build and nurture relationships with corporate finance advisors, founders and non-executive networks.
  • Take board positions and work closely with portfolio companies to drive value creation.
  • Influence firm-wide strategy as a senior member of the national investment team.
What We're Looking For
  • An experienced investor with a successful track record in deploying capital into UK SMEs.
  • Strong deal execution skills, including diligence, structuring and negotiation.
  • Deep regional network across the South West (or clear ability to build one).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the credibility to lead a new office and represent the firm locally.
  • ACA/CFA or equivalent background preferred but not essential.
Why Apply?

This is a leadership opportunity with real autonomy, long-term partnership potential, and the backing of a highly respected investor with significant capital to deploy. You'll be joining a collaborative team at a time of growth and momentum, with the chance to shape both regional strategy and firm culture.
