A leading independent securities firm in London is seeking an experienced lawyer to manage all legal matters related to their Capital Markets business. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance or equity capital markets from a top-tier law firm, and must possess a proactive and collaborative mindset. This role focuses on overseeing transactions such as IPOs and public market fundraisings, ensuring comprehensive legal guidance throughout the process. In-house experience is a plus.
My client is an independent securities business offering institutional and corporate clients leading investment banking, research, sales and trading services. Due to continued growth, the business is now looking to recruit a dedicated laywer, who will be responsible for taking a lead for all legal matters pertaining to the Capital Markets business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all transactions the Corporate Advisory team undertakes which includes IPOs; public market fundraisings; Sponsor and Nomad transactions and public company takeovers (acting for offeror and offeree). You will be a solicitor with a UK qualification (or have qualified as a lawyer in another common law jurisdiction) and have at least six years post qualification experience, gained in a leading corporate finance / equity capital markets team within a top-tier city practice. In-house experience, by way of secondment or permanent move, would be beneficial.
In addition to excellent technical experience, this person must bring a proactive, business and solution-oriented mindset to legal matters and a proven ability to work collaboratively.
