Overview

A well-established Sheffield-based business with a strong reputation as both a product provider and employer is seeking an Interim Finance Manager to support a period of growth following the award of two new contracts.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the finance function’s position as a true business partner, supporting financial, commercial and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Driving improvements in working capital, cashflow management, forecasting and KPI reporting
  • Providing timely, accurate financial information to project and commercial teams
  • Supporting and collaborating with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility and control
  • Liaising with external auditors, banking partners and tax advisors
  • Contributing to the annual budgeting, planning and forecasting process
  • Supporting the development of finance processes and controls as the business grows
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)
  • Experience gained within an SME or mid-sized business environment
  • Comfortable reviewing, enhancing and developing finance processes and procedures
  • Able to start at short notice
