Job description

Overview

You will be working with a variety of partners, customers and clients ensuring the delivery of a high-quality professional service that maximises the resources available, delivers positive outcomes and meets the needs of customers and service users.

You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team who currently operate a hybrid working model of home and office-based working at our Bellshill office.

Responsibilities
  • Play a key role within a multi-skilled roads maintenance team responsible for maintaining roads, street lighting, electric vehicle charging and other council assets.
  • Engage with customers and direct contractors to ensure work is completed on time and to the required standards.
  • Utilise strong organisational and IT skills to manage works orders, asset information and communications.
  • Promote the Council’s vision, values and reputation while delivering quality services to communities.
Qualifications
  • Educated to approved electrician status (NVQ3/SVQ3) or HNC or equivalent level.
  • Experience dealing with street lighting networks and other electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work with partners, customers and contractors.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, works ordering and asset management systems; clear written and verbal communication.
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and beyond as required.
Working pattern

Monday to Thursday 08:45–16:45 (55 minute unpaid break)

Friday 08:15–16:15 (50 minute unpaid break)
