Job description
Overview

Line Up Aviation is seeking an Aerospace Engineering Workshop Inspector to join a renowned aviation industry client based in West London, close to Heathrow Airport.

Role

Inspector • Location: West London • Shift: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday • Salary: From £28,898 plus shift allowance (one week of early shift, one week of late shift)

Responsibilities
  • Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components using latest criteria and inspection equipment.
  • Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP.
  • Ensuring that all information (I.E. P/N, S/N and Condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on SAP.
  • Carry out accurate measurement of components.
  • Work to Production priority lists.
  • To promote and monitor compliance with legislation, company policy and codes of practise relating to Health and Safety at work.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Previous mechanical component inspection background required.
  • Aerospace apprenticeship and experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Qualification in an engineering subject is desirable
  • Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment.
  • Previous practical experience using imperial measurement tools such as Micrometres, callipers and precision measuring tools.
  • Previous knowledge of manuals and Boeing websites ideal.
  • Right to live and work in the UK without restrictions
