Qualifications

  • No prior experience is required for this role — full training will be provided.

  • Experience in an industrial or oil & chemicals environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Collect samples from vessels and shore tanks as per client standards.
  • Transport samples and documentation to/from vessels and labs.
  • Maintain inspection stock and sampling equipment.
  • Support compliance with safety and health standards.
  • Work closely with operations and lab teams to meet deadlines.

Skills

Job Description

SGS is seeking a reliable and proactive Inspection Support Operative to assist our busy Inspection department. The role involves basic inspection support tasks including sample collection/delivery, site visits, equipment handling, and documentation transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect samples from vessels, shore tanks, and retail forecourts in line with client and industry standards
  • Transport samples and documentation to/from vessels and labs
  • Maintain inspection stock and sampling equipment
  • Support compliance with safety, health, and COSHH standards
  • Work closely with the operations and laboratory teams to meet tight client deadlines
Qualifications

No prior experience is required for this role — full training will be provided.
