Job description

Our client is a global plastic injection moulding manufacturer with a busy UK site based in Wythernshawe. They are looking for skilled setters / technicians to join their busy technical team to ensure the smooth transitions of tools to keep up with the Production schedule.

This company operate on a 4 on 4 off basis and it this doe include days and nights. Due to the mix of shifts this is reflected in the salary.

Job Responsibilities

• Carrying out tool changes / colour changes and sampling new products.
• Where possible reducing cycle times without effecting the quality and making the production run more efficiently.
• Montor the quality of the moulds to ensure they comply with regular quality checks and minimise the amount of scrap.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure that 5S is followed throughout the manufacturing.
• Working with management to follow tool changes set out throughout the shifts and achieving targets.
• Ensuring the smooth hand over at the end of every shift.
• Following all health and safety regulations across the site and where possible passing on past experience and knowledge to others within the team.

Job Requirements

• Must have past experience in Setting injection moulding machines.
• Good knowledge of injection moulding.
• Ideally would drive and have their own transport.
• Excellent communicator and enthusiastic attitude.

Hours :

This shift pattern will be 4 on 4 off and would consist of 2 days & 2 nights

(Days – 7am – 7pm & Nights 7pm – 7am)

As a result of it being 4 on 4 off this will fall during the weekends and would require you to work weekends occasionally.
