Job description
Overview

You\'ll be the subject matter expert responsible for Infoblox NetMRI products covering all operational activities, development, and training for the tool within the bank. Leading all maintenance and upgrades on the product, you\'ll ensure its stability and security, providing guidelines and training for colleagues to upskill their capabilities and assist you in the delivery of this platform. You\'ll collaborate in building the best possible solutions for monitoring the bank\'s network infrastructure and use automation to provide testing and a route to live for the product, identifying ways to use new and existing technology tools to enhance performance, removing inefficiencies. This is a chance to work with colleagues across the bank to share engineering best practices, allowing you to provide thought leadership while developing solutions.

Responsibilities
  • As an Infrastructure Network Management Engineer, contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes.
  • Develop products using modern engineering practices and tools; provide day-to-day support and maintenance of Network Management tools Infoblox NetMRI used for troubleshooting, documentation, configuration, and operating system compliance as well as mass configuration updates in support of projects and operational enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to develop product roadmaps and manage the lifecycle of the team\'s products and support engineered products; respond to colleague feedback and new feature requests, resolve production issues, and help colleagues consume our products.
  • Use DevOps practices to manage and develop code using Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Take a lead role within a team to design and engineer intuitive, self-service infrastructure solutions using Infoblox NetMRI.
  • Develop technical skills through continuous learning, contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions, and build awareness of design thinking tools and techniques with users to improve the product.
  • Provide operational support for network incidents to aid root cause identification and resolution.
  • Work with key vendors in the delivery of the infrastructure services and technology for the product.
  • Learn and develop automated solutions using scripting languages such as Python and XML and automation tools such as YAML, JSON, Ansible, and Nautobot.
  • Use network management tools to automate deployment and reporting of controls and mandatory security requirements to comply with best practice and bank policies.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Infoblox NetMRI product in a large enterprise networking environment managing 5,000+ nodes; understanding of software development or automation scripting such as Python or Shell; familiarity with the software development lifecycle and modern infrastructure as code tooling.
  • Strong understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets with the ability to create the vision for the Release Train, feature team, platform, and domain. Public cloud knowledge covering GCP, AWS, and Azure is beneficial.
  • Excellence in change management processes and assessing risks when implementing bulk changes across the network, operating around the clock.
  • Understanding of Cisco and Arista network products and experience in developing CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling.
  • Experience in software testing practices and tools and in using observability tools and techniques.
  • Ability to use data, information, and user sentiment to continuously improve solutions.
  • Experience working with networking and security technologies deployed to on-premises datacenters and offices with knowledge of protocols including TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, and HTTP.
  • Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
