A government agency in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support IT hardware in Data Centres. The ideal candidate must have substantial knowledge of Data Centre technology and possess communication skills to work effectively with technical teams. This full-time position requires at least 30 hours of work each week, with 60% of the time spent in the office. The role necessitates a qualification in Information Technology or relevant experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within HM Land Registry's (HMLR) Transformation & Technology directorate for an Infrastructure Engineer - Data Centre.
You will be required to attend sites to install, manage, patch and replace hardware. You will support 3rd party engineers that need escorting at our Data Halls and our local offices. You will work with the IT Operations technical teams to understand the roadmap of activities and ensure the pipeline of work they have is supported.
This role will require a working knowledge of IT hardware across a number of key technology platforms, including IBM Mainframe, hyperconverged Infrastructure and basic network installations.

Please note you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week in this post. This role may involve occasional travel which may include stays away from home and participation in a permanent on-call rota. The role may require occasional planned out of hours working in order to deal with IT changes and maintenance.
HMLR expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office.
To be successful in this role you will hold a qualification in Information Technology, or a related area or experience in an IT field.
You will have in depth knowledge and proven experience in at least three of the following:
You will be able to demonstrate experience of working practices/processes within IT Service Delivery and high-level planning and managing technical change. You will be an effective communicator, who can build relationships with engineers and other stakeholders. You are a team player, with an analytical approach to problem solving and technical information gathering.
