Our client is seeking a dedicated Information Governance Assurance Officer to join their dynamic Digital Health team! What You'll Do:
  • Supporting the delivery and coordination of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and CQC compliance.
  • Assisting with Subject Access Requests (SAR) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
  • Advocating for a risk-based culture in Information Governance across the organisation.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including senior managers and service directors, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Providing expert IG advice and guidance to staff at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the organisation's Information Governance audit programme.
  • Complete DPIAs and Subject Access Requests while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Produce clear reports for governance committees and the organisation's management board.
  • Facilitate communication with external stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging training and awareness programmes on data security and governance.
What We're Looking For:
  • A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent significant experience.
  • A formal qualification in Information Governance and Data Protection (e.g., ISEB or GDPR Practitioner).
  • Strong experience in data handling, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • A deep understanding of Public Sector Information Governance and data protection legislation.
