Job description

On behalf of a hospital near Manchester, we are seeking an experienced Infectious Diseases Locum Consultant available for an initial 3-month period, with the possibility of extension.

This is a clinically oriented position involving substantial ward round commitments, particularly in Critical Care areas. The locum, alongside consultant colleagues, will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective clinical microbiology, virology, and infection prevention and control service to UHP and other users.

On-call duties are negotiable and to be confirmed.

The location offers convenient access, with local accommodation available if needed, and is easily reachable by public transport and car. It is less than an hour from an international airport.

Requirements:

• GMC registration; entry on the specialist register is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year NHS experience at the Consultant level, with the ability to work independently.
• Must be onsite.

Pay terms are negotiable.
