Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for an industry-leading business in the Hartlepool area. The role involves planned preventative and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring equipment uptime and safety compliance. Candidates should be apprentice trained or possess equivalent qualifications. The starting salary is £48,000 annually, with additional benefits including a company van, pension scheme, and generous holidays.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice trained or equivalent – City and Guilds NVQ L3, ONC or above.
  • 18th Edition BS qualified & IOSH desirable (training will be provided if not already possessed).
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally in a heavy or industrial engineering setting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the plants are maintained for required uptime.
  • Carry out planned weekly preventative maintenance shifts.
  • Fault find, diagnose, test and repair electrical equipment.
  • Plan and complete preventive maintenance for each site.
  • Agree and maintain par stock of essential parts.
  • Project and installation work to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Keep up-to-date and develop technical knowledge.
