Independent Needs Assistant (INA) - Year 2 Pupil

Start Date: 2 October

Part-time: 8:30am-12:00pm, Monday–Friday

The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Swale Academies Trust to recruit a dedicated and experienced Independent Needs Assistant (INA) to support a Year 2 pupil with challenging behavioural and academic needs.

This vibrant and welcoming Eastbourne primary school offers a fantastic environment for both pupils and staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a brilliant pupil who requires consistent, structured support and positive reinforcement to thrive in the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis
  • Addressing both behavioural and academic challenges
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualised strategies
  • Morning-only role (exact hours to be confirmed)
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN and/or behavioural needs (essential)
  • Ability to manage behaviour confidently and constructively
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed
  • DBS registered on the update service is essential
