About The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Temporary Income Officer to join their team for a short-term assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in income management and tenant support to make a real impact in the community. As an Income Officer, you will be responsible for managing rent arrears, negotiating payment plans, and providing financial guidance to tenants. Youll work closely with tenants to ensure sustainable solutions while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage rent accounts to reduce arrears in line with organisational policies
  • Communicate with tenants via phone, email, and face-to-face to agree on realistic payment plans
  • Provide advice on rent obligations and signpost tenants to welfare benefits or debt support services
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve complex cases
  • Maintain accurate records using income management systems
  • Prepare reports and contribute to income collection campaigns
  • Support interventions to prevent evictions and promote tenant well‑being
