Salary: £35,425 per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, 18 month contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Income Officer to join our team in Enfield. Our Income Officers provide a comprehensive and customer focused income management service which offers tenants value for money and efficiency in the management of their rent account.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a customer focussed, proactive, comprehensive and high-quality Rent Collection and Arrears Recovery service, with primary responsibility for the recovery of current and former tenant rent and arrears recovery on a patch of properties.
  • Ensure early intervention, including maximising income, budgeting, referring to debt support agencies, tenancy support or other professional agencies.
  • Be responsible for managing a portfolio of rent accounts, working within agreed policies and procedures and utilising all appropriate and available tools to recover debts owed; these will include other departments and taking cases to court where appropriate.
  • To provide advice and guidance as appropriate through the arrears and legal process.
  • To develop and maintain partnerships with key agencies, including Housing Benefit, DWP, CAB, social services and any other relevant support agencies.
