Income Collection Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative professional to join our team, specialising in the recovery of service charge income. This is a key role in ensuring leaseholders receive the right support while maximising income recovery.

What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in recovering service charge income, including direct dealings with leaseholders
  • A basic understanding of Leasehold Law
  • Direct experience delivering a frontline service in a challenging housing environment
  • Strong IT skills with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to advise on financial assistance, provide basic benefit advice, and make referrals to debt advice agencies
  • A team player who can also work independently, stay organised, and meet tight deadlines
  • A passion for delivering first class customer service
Key responsibilities include:
  • Maximising recovery of service charge income, debts and arrears in line with procedures
  • Submitting cases to HMCS for online judgement, monitoring progress, and escalating to enforcement where required
  • Liaising with legal representatives and attending court as necessary
  • Providing advice on financial assistance for major works debt and signposting to support services
  • Handling leaseholder enquiries and resolving disputes end to end
  • Administering suspense accounts, reallocating payments, reconciling accounts, and processing refunds where necessary
