Inclusive Learning Advisors (SEND) (EL817 / 818)

Salary: £28,282 - £30,881 (per annum)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Location: EL817: Crewe Campus / EL818: Ellesmere Port / Chester Campuses

We are seeking Inclusive Learning Advisors to join our Learner Services team to provide high quality support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and / or inclusion needs, to ensure they reach their maximum educational and developmental potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and / or inclusion needs and support their achievement, attendance and retention at College
  • Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students
  • Liaise with College staff in the planning of appropriate support for learners with SEND, including special examination arrangements and careers advice
  • Produce SEND support plans
  • Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews
Key Person Specification Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience of working in a learning support capacity
  • Good working knowledge of students with SEND and / or inclusion needs
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships
