The role

As an Implementation Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to gain a holistic view of the dockyard, influence strategic decisions, and deliver solutions that make a real impact on operational efficiency and national security.

Day-to-day, you’ll take ownership of projects that optimise office, amenities, and space utilisation across one of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile defence sites. You’ll manage key activities from concept to implementation, ensuring business‑critical requirements are met while driving continuous improvement.

  • Prioritising demand signals and creating innovative solutions to meet business needs
  • Developing and presenting accommodation and space requirements to senior stakeholders
  • Project managing space solutions, balancing timescales, costs, and compliance
  • Coordinating space utilisation surveys and reporting findings to inform decisions
  • Managing contractors, preparing cost estimates, and overseeing schedules of work

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Implementation Manager
  • Ability to think laterally and provide objective solutions to business challenges
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience leading and facilitating group discussions
  • Understanding of commercial drivers and general business finance
  • Self‑motivated and able to drive tasks through to completion
Qualifications for the Implementation Manager
  • Educated to GCSE/A-Level or equivalent, with extensive relevant experience
