Qualifications

  • Experience of managing a Health Visiting caseload.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of leading the assessment, planning and evaluation of care.
  • Experience of integrated working.
  • Ability to use email, internet and word processing software.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding issues.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme to families.
  • Support the full delivery of services for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with other agencies for child safeguarding.
  • Manage a caseload of families and public health activities.

Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to support and motivate staff
Ability to support students in placements

Education

BSc/Public Health Nursing – Health Visiting or equivalent
RN (Adult or Child/RSCN) or RM
V100 Nurse Prescriber
Motivational Interviewing trained
Solihull Approach trained
Promotional Interviewing trained
