Job summary

A community health services provider in England is seeking an Integrated Facilities Generic Assistant for 25 hours per week. The role includes maintaining a clean and safe environment in clinical areas, following a flexible work schedule across various sites, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Full training will be provided. The ideal candidate values excellent patient care and is expected to work on a rota including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Job description

If so, we are on the lookout for an Integrated Facilities Generic Assistant to work 25 hours per week. The hours will be on a rota basis working 5 days per week covering between 7.30am -12.30pm & 3.30pm -8.30pm and will include weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Working either individually or as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
  • To follow a work schedule whilst being flexible, being prepared to work at other sites should service demands dictate.
  • Cleaning clinical areas such as outpatient and inpatient areas , treatment rooms, toilets , cleaning toilets sinks , high and low dusting, mopping and scrubbing of floors curtain changing.
  • Ensure incidents are raised and recorded accurately, within required timeframes, via appropriate system ie Datix.
  • Replenishing disposable items eg hand towels and ensure correct use and storage of cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Disposal of waste in accordance with the Trust Waste Policy.
  • Accurate completion of documentation eg own time sheet and Barrier or Terminal cleans.
  • Comply with Infection Control policy/guidelines including colour coding system.
  • Be aware of site security whilst undertaking duties eg closing of windows and doors securely.
  • Wear protective clothing.
  • Maintain equipment and materials in a clean, tidy condition and report any faulty equipment in a timely manner.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Attend all required Trust and service specific training.
  • Transportation of goods and equipment using Trust vehicles, cleaning maintenance of vehicles, carrying out simple maintenance checks, tasks and reporting of faults.

Although previous experience is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be given. What really matters is that we provide our patients with an excellent experience and a service that really cares by demonstrating values and personal qualities that support the DCHS way of working.
