Overview

Permanent - full time or part time available (Mon-Fri). Mixture of remote and assessment centre working, offering an exceptional work-life balance. The role is for a qualified health professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist) seeking to utilise and develop clinical skills in a brand new healthcare environment through a Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS) programme for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

You will work autonomously to assess claimants applying for Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of HAAS. The funding supports individuals who are unable to work or maintain independent living. Some assessments may be conducted remotely.

An in-depth, fully paid training programme is provided, designed to equip you for your new role. The role counts towards clinical hours and helps maintain professional registration.

Responsibilities
  • Use your clinical experience to work with people with a diverse range of health conditions to understand how their disability impacts daily life.
  • Complete detailed, meaningful and respectful assessments over the telephone, video or face-to-face, in an office or home setting.
  • Interpret medical evidence and document findings in a comprehensive report to support DWP decision-making.
Requirements
  • We are accepting applications from Qualified Nurses, Physiotherapists, Paramedics or Occupational Therapists for this vacancy.
  • NMC/HCPC registration is required.
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience; UK experience is essential.
  • Proactive, keen to learn and receptive to feedback.
