Job Description

Our client is seeking an Area Sales Manager (Contractor Sales) to join their growing Northern Region. They are a successful HVAC company owning three manufacturers, operating across 65 countries, with over 100 years of experience.

The Area Sales Manager will manage a territory covering the North West (Manchester, West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cheshire, and Merseyside) to achieve business objectives, including account management, order targets, margin management, and customer retention. Responsibilities include maintaining a project pipeline through quotation management software, ensuring accurate forecasts.

You will also contribute to the strategic development of the Applications team by promoting HVAC equipment such as AHU, FCU, Chillers, and CCU, along with service offerings to expand market presence. The role involves aligning with the company's vision and strategic goals to support profitable growth, providing feedback to factories, and ensuring continuous improvement. Adherence to company processes for bidding, pricing, and order management is essential, along with contributing to process development.

The position may require attending industry events, seminars, and conferences to support sales and professional development.

Area Sales Manager Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £60-65k based on experience
  • Comprehensive commission structure – paid quarterly (structure to be discussed)
  • Bonus – potential for £100k OTE
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays – option to purchase up to 5 more days
  • Car allowance (£540/month) or company car
  • Pension: 5% employee, 4% employer
Requirements
  • ONC, HNC/D, Degree in Mechanical/HVAC discipline or equivalent (preferred) or relevant HVAC experience
  • Full HVAC knowledge across product range including AHU, FCU, Chillers, and CCU
  • Experience selling to Building Services, HVAC & M&E Contractors
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Reside in or around North West
