Humanities Academic Coach

Immediate start until July 2026

£80 - £100 per day

School location: Ward of Yardley

Support in either History or Geography KS3/KS4

Responsibilities

The Role: As a Humanities Academic Coach, you'll deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support in History or Geography. You'll run retrieval practice, exam-technique workshops, and literacy/extended-writing boosters. You'll help pupils interpret sources, evaluate evidence, master case studies and map/fieldwork skills, while tracking progress and feeding back to teachers.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children - Genuine interest in supporting student progress.
  • Experience working with children - Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
