Health & Safety Manager – Demolition / Construction

The Role

We are recruiting an experiencedHealth & Safety Managerto work as part of a demolition project team on live construction sites. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role operating within ahighly regulated environment, supporting multiple projects with demanding programmes and strict safety standards.

You’ll work closely with project managers, clients, and supply chain partners to maintain high Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) standards while enabling safe and efficient project delivery.

This role requires reliability, strong judgement, and the confidence to operate under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site health & safety inspections and audits, ensuring actions are closed out effectively
  • Manage H&S oversight across multiple projects, prioritising workload based on risk
  • Act as a client‑facing H&S representative, building strong working relationships with client ESH teams
  • Review and deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Review, challenge, and improve risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for company and contractor activities
  • Act as Lead Reviewer for RAMS, coordinating input and driving timely close‑out
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing clear reports and improvement actions
  • Monitor training matrices and coordinate required training
  • Maintain accurate H&S records to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements
  • Compile safety data and produce dashboard reports
  • Support the SHEQ Lead in developing and improving company H&S systems and standards
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
  • CSCS Card
  • Security Clearance
