Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Omagh is looking for an HSE Advisor to implement health and safety policies and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in HSE roles, including report writing and understanding current legislation. Strong communication and IT skills are essential. Qualifications

• Experience within a similar H&S role.
• Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc).
• Experience with report writing, auditing, RAMS.
• Knowledge of current HSE Legislation.
• Good communication skills.
• IT and numeracy skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Report on HSE performance indicators and carry out monitoring.
• Lead HSE meetings and Safety Committee sessions.
• Review HSE risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.

Job description

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of an HSE Advisor.

As an HSE Advisor, you will support the business in implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and meeting all legal obligations, whilst promoting a safety-first culture within the organisation.

In your new role:

• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, as well as compliance with company policies and standards
• Report on HSE performance indicators, and carry out environmental monitoring and measurements
• Lead HSE meetings and Safety Committee sessions
• Regularly review HSE risk assessments, policies and procedures
• Provide support on HSE and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct accident and incident investigations and support related enquiries as required
• Engage with regulatory bodies, insurers and occupational health providers
• Identify training needs and deliver HSE training where required
• Work closely with site teams to implement HSE improvement plans
• Collaborate internally and with external partners to maintain the safety of contractors and visitors
• Coordinate and consult with leadership teams to support HSE objectives

What you will need to succeed:

• Experience within a similar H&S role
• Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
• Experience with report writing, auditing, RAMS
• Knowledge of current HSE Legislation
• Good communication skills
• IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)

Desirable

• NEBOSH Diploma or Degree
• Additional NEBOSH qualifications (Environmental, Fire Safety, etc)
• Train the Trainer certifications
• Experience within the manufacturing industry
