Overview

Element Recruitment are partnering with a growing and diverse organisation based near Ross-on-Wye who are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Officer to join their growing HR team. This is a new and exciting role that offers a hands-on opportunity to work alongside the HR Manager and board of Directors to support both managers and employees across a broad range of HR activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with policy implementation and compliance with employment law and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and systems, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Provide cover for payroll processing using SAGE Payroll during periods of absence or holiday.
  • Assist with audits, internal communications, and occasional social media activity.
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance on policies, employment law, and best practices.
  • Manage employee relations including disciplinary, grievance, and absence cases.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure GDPR compliance.
About You
  • Previous experience in a HR advisory role.
  • Understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

This is a great role with an excellent progression route, with study support up to a HR Manager role.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
